Vibecode: an app that makes apps is now making $80k/mo

the app that allows people to make apps from their phones is following a simple strategy that made them $80k last month.. here's what they did and why you should care

🌟 a quick thought before we jump into reading the post
it’s a really great time to be building and shipping apps, in the great 2025 it is easier than ever to go viral and make money (if you are smart enough 🙂).. now with that out of the way let’s see what this app does to market itself and why you should care

Vibecode - Ai App builder

This is exactly what their app store listing reads their name as.. but like any of the b2c founders you’d be asking the same question if you saw this on the app sore - “why would you wanna push an app that makes apps on the appstore and promote it on tiktok??“ to which i answer - “why tf not?“

The app was released in June and in under 2 months they have been able to breach the $50k/mo and with ease it seems following some simple formats on tiktok that has gotten them this reach

Most of their videos are essentially just them selling the idea of making thousands of $$ every month by making copy cats of famous apps…

and people are genuinely intrigued by the idea of making apps by just writing few prompts (yup that sound familiar right?), you’d see the comment section full of people asking how to monetize the apps - how do you list on the app store etc.. which also signals the algorithm that the video is really engaging which pushes it even more.

Their content strategy is based off the age old - reaction + app demo UGC videos while the videos with most views and engagement are still the ones with the people talking to the viewers.

They are essentially going after different monetization methods of making apps (b2b or b2c) and giving the viewers a bit of hope and “ways/hacks“ of making money doing something ‘easy‘

Another format is them using UGC creators to tell/show people that they can just make their own versions of Cal AI and similar apps instead of them paying for using these apps

@leah.app

Did that with no coding too #buildanapp #vibecodeapp #vibecode #coding #fyp

at last they are somewhat trying the ‘lovable‘ way of marketing and giving people the idea of remaking popular apps like - instagram or netflix.. this particular video is a controversial one as it gets people to comment hence pushing the algo more and more

All/majority of their views are coming from just one creator: [email protected]

for a category like this, a good idea or playbook to follow would be that of lovable and how they are promoting themselves on tiktok…. + they can move onto making some forms of faceless content which would allow them to own some content pipelines and also post multiple times everyday as faceless content is easier/faster to test and scale

what they are doing isn’t new or unique, it just goes to show that you can ship and make decent mrr if you do things a bit smartly.. everyone does UGC and faceless but it is always about the angle that you find to make videos that promote your product…
